We have designed and manufactured the Crankshaft Saver and have saved many of my customers Miata's engines by using my Crank Saver bushing and custom key.

Crankshaft Saver was designed so that it can also be disassembled. It is not permanent, there are no glues, no welding. Your front crankshaft seal can still be serviced at any time.

Crankshaft Saver is great life insurance for healthy crankshafts and ultimate repair kit for damaged ones. So the next time you're servicing the timing belt add the Crankshaft Saver to your parts list.

I strongly recommend that you purchase a new Timing Belt Sprocket and Pulley Boss to insure true surfaces and slots before assembly if you have key and keyway damage. If you are using the the Crankshaft Saver as life insurance for your crankshaft then there is no reason to replace the Timing Belt Sprocket or Pulley Boss. I will not guarantee satisfactory results if these two items are not replaced.
